I received mine last week. The instructions say the button should be up for the iOS "advanced" mode. For Android devices it should be down. We're an Android family, and it works very well with our phones. Streaming from Google Play Music or downloaded Spotify songs sounds great an the steering wheel controls work to advance or go back.
