TERRIFIC photos and accompanying written accounts! The car is gorgeous (I'm biased of course). Love the color combo AND the style 207 wheels! It will be, in my opinion, the classic "stock" look for this model/vintage in the years to come.
I will most likely do a wheel mod to 18-inch on mine, but I will NEVER sell my 17-inch 207s. Classic factory, if you ask me. And the N52 naturally aspirated six is a jewel in the crown of BMW production history.
Modify all you want. The 128i represents the foundation, the spirit of the BMW driving experience.
Are there EXTREMELY impressive incarnations of it? Hell yeah (135i, 135is, The M Coupe)...say no more. But, every successful line has its base model...from which, all good things come.
