With the premium audio I was expecting a bit more clarity in the high end, and tighter sounding bass than I feel like it's putting out. But the rated specs are apparently at 2 ohms; comparing this to an 8 ohm system, divide watts by 4... that "40W per channel" is thus down to 10 wpc for expectation compared to home stereo gear, and you would not expect much from a 10 wpc home stereo. The bass rated at 70 w x 2 channels at 4ohms, puts it at an equivalent of 70 watts to the 8 ohm bass drivers. Sounds like a good balance to the mids/tweets, but still, if you've got a small powered sub at home you're probably at 500-1000 watts at 8 ohms. Also I don't see "watts RMS" anywhere, so that's probably wattage @ 10% THD; if so, RMS wattage @ 1% distortion would be half or less again.

I wonder what this speaker set would sound like on an amp with, say, 50 watts RMS @ 4 ohms for the little guys and 250 watts RMS @ 4 ohms for the bass...
