Umm, No right to search AROUND the car?? Just an FYI thats not correct at all. Breaking the plane of the window/door. I.E. sticking your hand or head in is searching. Even then police can search your car if something is in "plain view". I.E They can see a gun, drugs etc in plain sight (sitting on the floor or seat). Simply looking around the car in no shape way or form is illegal. You are no doubt right though, most cops would have no idea what this is. But I have a suspicion there may be a cop or two on here that know about this
. They might not give another BMW owner a ticket for it and look the other way. But they might give someone else a REALLY hard time about it. I could be wrong though
