We modified the down pipe and got rid of the Y at the end and then I had Black Market Racing build a custom exhaust with no Y and a V-band instead. Not really sure why BMW left the Y-splits on the N55...

Do you have any more sound clips of this setup? This is exactly how I want mine to sound.
And it looks to me like you don’t have the bracket that goes from the downpipe to the trans? When I installed my downpipe I couldn’t get my bracket to fit so I left it off. I’m a little worried about that when I get the BMR exhaust, but it looks to me like it won’t be a problem? I feel there are enough hangers on the exhaust to alleviate the weight from pulling on the turbo at the V-band connection.
