Hi guys, if you were to cut just a small slot just to access the two pipes, do you cut from the top or bottom of the muffler? If you cut from the top, do you need to weld the cut-off portion or its OK just to leave that open - any downsides to that?
Also, can you use stainless steel or copper tape instead of wire mesh and clamps? figure that would be easier!
