hmmm, that's strange. The procedure from your instrument cluster should have worked. A scan tool will probably fix it, the only issue is you will spend good amount of money for them. I have the harbor freight zurich zr13 model that i got used online for around $100 (that's will 15% discount code ebay had around Christmas) but it retails around $200. To me that's the best "bang for the buck" scanner (or you can go with the zr11 which is around $150 i think and it does everything zr13 does minus the airbag reset, which you probably don't need anyways.
