I can't always get what I want, but, if I try, sometimes, I get what I need.

This is what kept repeating in my head (and maybe now yours too) after learning that Cobb and now MHD tuning are throwing me curve balls just to get into the tuning club.

From Cobb:

Thanks for contacting Cobb!

Unfortunately, we do not have an AP for the 2013 model as they changed ECU's in 2012 and we have not yet started on the newer models.

Sorry about that!

And on the MHD Google Play store:

!!! Important !!! Vehicle equipped with a MEVD1726 DME (built dating from around 03-2012) need a once time DME removal and bench flash to allow OBD flashing.

My VIN checked out that I would need to remove the DME and is definitely not in the cards to be without a car for at least a week just to bench flash.

I would probably consider the JB4 but it seems to be a bit more involved than I care to invest in whereas the Cobb and MHD tuning options are more user friendly. Plus, my wife seeing me tearing the car apart to install the JB4 may give her more ammunition than I care to give her, lol. Especially since the instructions for the JB4 look like I could confuse which plugs I should / should NOT use.

The silver lining for me is that I did discover that the PPK 1 was installed by the previous owner so I'll do my best to quell any urges for more performance because, in reality, it's really all I need...for now.

Edit, just received this response:

Hi,

yes, your car requires a bench flash.

Best regards
Momir
