17x9.5 is the size I want and there are only 1-2 wheels that come close to fitting our cars in this size.
17x9.5 ET52 with 275 wide tires and a 12-15mm spacer up front. Problem is, this is not exactly a square setup. Realistically you need to run 17x9.5 ET30 F:R but that requires cutting and flaring the rear fenders to work. That is what I plan to do. Flare the rear with some 1" or 2" flares.
18" tires are significantly more expensive than the same tires in 17" sizes. 18" wheels also require lower profile tires like 30 series to maintain the same tire diameter... 18" also weighs more. All of this offsets any placebo effect you feel from a shiny expensive BBK.
