Manual all the way!
Don't waste your money on an automatic BMW. Hell, they shouldn't even offer an auto in the 135i. The 1 series is supposed to be the revival of the 2002 (I think it's the e30). Light, compact, powerful, nimble. And a manual transmission. A car that is to be driven. Not to be controlled for you by a computer chip in your slush box. If you want the full experience the 135i was desgined to provide, go 6 speed manual!
