IMHO - there is simply no way BMW would need to send a car with these minor mods off to M camp - not to mention this late in the production cycle.
That said, I would love to see BMW do a retro E30 M3, in the likeness of the Ford GT update , as that captured the styling purity of the '60s with the mechanical prowess of today. It would be nice to see a lightweight 4 cyl turbo under the hood.
...a 135is would be fine for now, but that's all it's really going to be even if they market it with a nicer sounder badge...

This is funny, because...on the paperwork for my late 2010 build 135i it reads: 2010 135is !! Looks like I've already got one....haha
