I'm comparing it to several powerful RWD cars I've owned in the past, most recently a GTO with well over 400 lb/ft of torque that was capable of lighting the tires up easily in second gear. Even running summer performance tires and drag racing it regularly I never had a set wear out with less than 20k on them.

The set I replaced the runflats with has gone 30k miles even though it was done entirely with a JB3 on the car, so that's why I draw the conclusion that the problem is the tires, not the car.
