bmw 123d (around the same torque as 135i, no?), 13000km (8000miles), and even not halfway in the rear on my 18" RFT... combination of lots of normal driving and every once in a while some 'spirited' driving...
Must be the tarmac in US that's bad quality and sands of your rubber
10.000 miles and bald is really too soon...
