The Ford Fusion didn't win MT's Car of the Year for no reason, it's outstanding.

Their hybrid technology is far more advanced than BMW's.

In general, their cars rank as more reliable.

This isn't dumping on BMW, BMWs still offer other things that appeal to many drivers, but at this point Ford's engine tech is quite clearly superior, and their ability to produce a competent performance car at a very low price point is

what? So the 2011 5.0 Mustang GT does 0-60 in 4.1 secs (Road and Track 2008) And the Ecoboost V6 has won engine of the yr awards multiple times? Man, I need to get on the Ford Bandwagon and quick.

Ford's new 5.0 is a great engine, but the fact remains that if the Mustang was engineered by Ford of Europe, it would have taking out M3s a long, long time ago. Ford has just recently allowed it's "good shit" to come over. We still don't have Ford's Mondeo, and what if we had the RS200? Ford had some off the meter offerings in Europe that rivalled or bettered the quality from The Germans, but look what we were stuck with (Damn Nascar lovin demographic and bottomline dictated it)

Ford has made tons of mistakes with cars. Most notably, the Tbird. By 1957, the Tbird was faster than the Vette and was beating it on the track. Ford management decided that there was no future in 2 seater sports cars, and in 1958 made the Tbird a 2+2 coupe. It thus got heavier to the pimp mobile 70s 'bird. Now, the Vette is a World Class sports car, shutting down Lambos and Ferraris. The Tbird? Oh, it got reissued as a remix of the 1957 Tbird, when they should have followed the path and made it a sports car, not a cruiser remix.
Then, Ford effed up on the LS, saying they didn't put a stick in a car meant to go up against the 5 series, because they didn't have a MT that could handle the torque (This is what their engineers told C&D). Excuse me, the same company that makes 300+ hp and 300+ tq (at the time) Mustangs don't have a MT for a 280 hp Lincoln? BS!!!

And then one of he reasons why Ford was in financial trouble was because they were putting tons of money into the Jaguar F1 team, instead of having use that money to develop the F type and turn a profit. Jacque Nasser had said that Jaguar would be stupid for not producing the F type, Ford fired him...
