I still do not understand HOW there can be a right and wrong way to install the cartridge oil filter on a 135i. Here is what the BMW OE oil filter looks like. The filter will go onto the filter cap both ways. And the inside of the OFH does not seem to be a right or wrong way.

Maybe on a newer BMW or MINI there is a right and wrong way to install the filter... but I really do not see how it is the car on any 135i.
