I was (presumably) a bit over 500whp on stock turbos.
Just about 100,000 miles on them at over 24psi. Over 400 drag passes, numerous lapping days, ice racing, street and daily duty.

When I sold them they still felt tight and didn't look to be leaking. Only issue was rear actuator was leaking.

I really want to say that if you do inlets/outlets and keep an eye on WGDC you really don't have to worry much about stocks. Be smart about how you lean on them and you can get some really good power.
The big limitation is they choke if you want RPM. I never really pushed over 6,000 RPM. No power there, no reason to go there. That might have been a big help?

For the cost of the stock CHRA's that Rob (and I want to say Tony has them too, if you ask) I'd really go that route. Far as anything upgraded, Id' go straight to a TD04, far better flow, keep the backpressure down and EGT's in check.

And I hate to even say it buy, those ebay 17/19t's seem to be not entirely horrible.
