Total opposite is true, actually: unless he corrects his roll center his camber curve when lowered will suck and he'll actually lose camber as the car rolls. Google some words like "lowered mcpherson roll center" to find out more. For the suspension to work like it's supposed to you want stock ride height, or install new spindles that correct the geometry. Yes, lowering the CG helps handling, but the penalty you get in crappier suspension dynamics usually makes the tradeoff not worth it.
