I've had my 2013 BMW 135 N55 for 2 years now. Bought it at 62000km and recently hit 84000km. Only thing I had to do besides normal maintenance is change the starter. It wasn't cheap but it has been quite reliable for me.
Heard so many horror stories about the N54, though it is a better engine, strictly performance wise. This being the reason I paid the extra $ to get a N55
