OK, I know I've picked up a really old thread but I have exactly the same question and this post may be the answer to what I've been trying to find out. The wheel sizes and offsets you mentioned above - will they fit a 2008 135i (E88) without rubbing ?
I currently have 17" rims that are 7.5" wide all round with 50 profile winter tires and I'm getting some rubbing (I think) when I bounce through dips in the road - I can't figure out if it's the tires rubbing the fenders or if my stock suspension has had it. I have 61K on the car. I posted in the suspension section here -
