I've done countless of these and only takes like 2-2.5 hours. Total gouge getting them to do it for 1800, and most likely fill it with the nasty green coolant that seems to eat all the plastics in the cooling system (Genuine coolant is blue and not even expensive). |
True DIY would be cheaper, but I don't have the time and energy right now to deal with this.
On simpler cars I'd be willing to do work on them, but this bmw is over engineered and complex than what I'm used to working with.
Another place quoted $17xx and lube mobile wanted to sting me with $2400!
The Doncaster BMW dealer basically wasn't answering the phone, and I can imagine they'd be even more expensive.
I wish I had a hoist or a pit at my place... But my garage is so small it barely fits the 1er in it!
