Several did that I know of.

When making an appointment for your next interval service, just ask any official BMW M dealer to use the occasion to replace fender liners as explained by BMW PuMA case reference 49636119-01. An appointment is made. No questions are asked. Car goes into service. You get your car back and you'll notice that these feature new fender liners (slightly different design). Free of charge - no word about it on the invoice for your interval service.
And when they hand you back your keys and you ask "whether the fender liner issue is now solved", they may eventually crack the joke "What problem ? Don't remember ?"
