Well, they finally figured it out and the answer is...
It needed an entire new main computer module.
Basically it needed a new DME.

But the good news?
Somehow they covered it under some unknown to me extended warranty on the part.
I didn’t ask a lot of questions since they didn’t even charge me the 3 hours of diagnosis time.

They also replaced the battery as it was 7.5 years old. $450 out of my pocket including coding.

I only drove it home from the dealer for 10 minutes but it seemed ok so far.
