Even after putting more than 30,000 miles on my 128i over the last 16 months, I still don't regret getting a 128i over a 135i. When I got my car, I was shopping for a new 135i. But then I saw how much less CPO 135i's were going for. Then I saw how much less than that CPO 128i's were going for. The accountant in me couldn't pass up the crazy deals on these cars. Sure, the 135i is faster, has bigger brakes, and has more standard features, but for what I paid for my CPO 128i back in November of 2010? Shoot, you couldn't even pick up a base model VW GTI for what I paid!! Besides, the 128i is plenty fast enough to get into trouble and have a blast in...just have to keep the tach needle north of about 3000 RPM when you're really going for it. In a few years, when you start to see CPO 1M's going for a more reasonable price, I'll pick one up and keep my 128i as my DD. Then I'll chime in on this thread and hate on the 135i owners for their "lowly" car choice
