No not at all, the Z4M is a blast to drive. I used to have a Z4M Roadster that was also a blast. The Coupe is just that much tighter. It's really the last of the non-turbo sixes that is so sweet to rev and makes a beautiful sound. The gearbox is also great fun (with the exception of the shift into 2nd every so often - a well documented issue with this car). Keep in mind the engine produces only 5 less hp than the 1M in a car that is similar in weight. It just has less torque. Both cars are really special, and I'd argue they are the last of the really pure M cars that don't have all of the extras of the more recent cars (certainly debatable).
