If I could revive the the OP's original question: how much difference to lightweight wheels actually make? I understand one can improve performance by saving weight generally and unsprung weight particularly. But if you eliminate 6 or 7 lbs per corner do you actually notice an improvement in day-to-day driving characteristics? I have assumed that it is a subtle difference that becomes more apparent at the track. Agree or disagree?
