Lag is more prominent now, especially at speed, mid rpm, and going WFO, there is distinct delay before power hits.
I'd gladly accept this if the tune gave higher torque nearer to red line, but it doesn't. Pull to red line doesn't feel any stronger.

Agreed. I am gonna be sending Terry some WOT 3rd gear pulls from 2K-7K RPMs, he will be able to tell enough about spool times, and hopefully adjust/compensate this crappy new software.
