Given that in the past, Coupes have trailed other body styles at least 1 year for any model, I would expect that the next 1 series Coupe will not appear until 2012 at the very earliest.
BMW could keep the existing 135i Coupe in production until 2012 without any problem, if it sells well. They did that with the E36 M3 Coupe in 1999, when the sedan was changed to the E46 chassis.
So as long as we're speculating
, it is possible for the 135i to be in production for almost 5 years. Not too shabby...
