Ok, guys... I talked it over with the 1er Forum gang... at the Burger King yesterday. We set the date for
Sunday Nov 28th, 2010 for our little drive in the Fränkische Schweiz, aka "Little Swiss".
Fränkische Schweiz is the German (Bayern) State Park that encompasses the Bamberg/Bayreuth/Nuernberg area.

Last time we started off in Buttenheim (just South of BA) and drove about 120 kms thru lots of curvy and twisty roads. We will probably stop somehwere for a nice lunch. And have plenty of photo ops.
Clear your calendar. I hope for us to have a few US spec one series & three's to mingle with our German friends. Feel free to invite friends with other bimmers.
As soon as I know more details - I will post them. But our concensus was that on a Sunday there would be less traffic and more fun for "us" drivers.
So Sunday Nov 28th is our date!
