I think its the same reason why some euro car makers name certain models over here the: Arizona, or Montana, or California, all USA names. The
"grass is always greener on the other side"... and we want what we can not have. So... lots of companies in the states come up with euro sounding products and euro named companies. Even though they have nothing to do with the EU or DE markets.
