The only other thing I can think of is check model years. They changed frequencies at some point and I know I originally had a 2009 and then got a 2012 and had to change to new sensors for the new frequency.
1 Series
Built BEFORE 9/10 use Huf RDE008 TPMS sensors
Built ON or AFTER 9/10 use Huf RDE012 TPMS sensors

Just last weekend I got the inactive warning because I rotated the tires myself and then had to run to the grocery store before changing tire pressure and resetting and it apparently realized this somehow and gave me the inactive warning. Next day fixed tire pressures and hit reset and it's back to normal again.

Other than that, not sure what to tell you.
