I got it aligned and Its all good now, I think I need to more the shaft over one tooth to be on center. its just a hair off currently.
also I broke the clock spring, so none of the buttons work on the wheel. Be careful to make sure not to over spin the wheel as I did,

Steering wheel should NOT be off if they aligned the car. That would be fixed with toe adjustment.
If the steering rack was off "1 tooth" then you'd only noticed it in terms of full-lock to full-lock rotation count (after the alignment). Basically, you'd have slightly less steering input to hit full lock in one direction v.s. the other.
Take it back to the alignment shop and complain the wheel is off center. They should be locking it in place centered before doing the alignment...
