Mark Webber used brand-new Renault engine for qualifying session. The Australian completed just three laps in free practice on Saturday morning due to problems with his previous engine.
After Sebastian Vettel's problems in Valencia, the team is worried about the number of engineers it is using as every driver is allowed to use just eight powerplants per season and Vettel will probably have to use one extra and thus accept a 10-place grid penalty for doing so.
Red Bull is developing methods of conservation for Vettel as previously used engines are used in practice sessions.
