I wouldn't hesitate to grab the DS2500's, they're damn good pads all around.

I'll tell you what I will not use ever again is the Hawk HP+ pads. Horrible cold friction, poor compressibility characteristics (terrible modulation, more like an on/off switch), tons of noise in most temperatures and anything less than full braking and they produce the most brake dust I have ever used for a street pad. I could not clean my wheels fast enough with my STi and dust baked themselves into the the crevices of my wheels that I could not get out with a light bristle brush. When heated up they did generate some high peak braking forces, but that is all they were good at.
