No, it is not from the tires. I think this is just how the 1er coupes drive at high speeds. I have Michelin PS4 tires in 225/255 sizes. I have gone thru four or so sets or tires... it's just how the 1er handles at high speeds. Two years ago I had an alignment done at a BMW dealer for the first time. THAT really help with some of the rear end "wandering" but the front toe changes at high speed was still there.

I still think the harder bushing material on the M3 control arms and thrust rods might help eliminate that wobble or toe change at high speeds. Well see.

MightyMouseTech it's funny you say this... because I have been out, driving the Alps with some friends.

Just today the TRW tie rods came in the mail. I still need a boot crimping tool to arrive as well as a 38mm open wrench. I might just use a BIG crescent wrench for the inner tie rods. I also had to order a tie rod puller since one is rusted in place(I think). I also have some new BMW hardware coming in soon. IF all goes well... I should have the front suspension done in two weeks or so.

Last month I installed the rear (upper)M3 tension rods, four Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs and Dinan camber plates. The car really handles well and understeer is gone. The bump steer from the rear suspension is also gone. I think that was those old links in the rear - changing the toe when hitting a bump.

Two weeks ago I drove the Alps with some Euro 1Addicts friends. It's our yearly ritual. Driving thru Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland. It was awesome.

I drove about 2,300 kms, so the suspension has settled some. Once I install the tie rods in a few weeks... I will have a proper alignment done. I will keep you guys a breasted.

Here are a few pics...
