I coded my 1 series with inpa/ncs just fine. Its identical to coding the 3 series (and due to the way I had it set up, most inpa options were under e90, not e82/88.)
Coded digital speedo, comfort unlock, top down with remote (which mostly works... something mechanical is sticking, causing the roof to sometimes not have enough power to lift the top all the way), and mirrors fold on lock (have to recode this, lost it when I registered/coded a new battery).
