Yeah if you want your car stolen...
I have lived in So Cal and Toronto, from my experience, there is far more property crime in Toronto than San Diego. Although it really depends on your neighborhood.
Out of my friends in California, probably 5% had a car stolen or vandalized where in Canada it is more like 25%.
