3.46 ratio 335i diff on 3.08 ratio 135i
Hi all,
I am trying to put an LSD into my 2008 MT 135i, I was able to find a bolted ring gear diff (7566152) from my local junk yard. My question is, beside the taller gear ratio (3.46 vs stock 3.08), it should be direct bolt on for my MT 135i right? Thanks and please advise! Dean |

That sounds like the full pumpkin from an automatic. It should bolt right on. Just to clarify, your plan is to buy an LSD, put it into this scrap yard pumpkin, then install on to your car right?
Also, the 3.46 ratio is a shorter gear ratio than 3.08. |

I know the gear ratio is not ideal but that is the only pumpkin I can find with bolted ring gear (according to the PN, havent picked it up yet). Thanks! Dean |

I was just being an ass and pointing out the use of the word "taller" wasn't quite right. Last edited by jjFender; 05-22-2025 at 11:28 PM.. |

Are you planning to code out the e-diff after installing your LSD? You don't have to but I found it kept grabbing the brakes coming out of tight corners despite having a mechanical LSD. |
