Hardware differences between N55/N54 PPK2?

Can anyone tell me if there are hardware differences between the PPK2 kit for the N54 and N55 motor? I found a ppk2 kit for really cheap, and it was a complete kit with all of the cooling accessories, so I bought it. The part number is 11122157665 and I'm pretty sure that's an N54 part number. I have an N55 and I believe the ppk2 part number is 11122184495 for that motor.

I tried to cross reference the part numbers list from my kit to the one in this thread . Some numbers are the same, some are different. I know that part numbers tend to change/evolve over the years and I can't figure out how to check that by myself.

Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.


p.s. Yes, I know about all of the other tuning options and thank you for your opinions on those. (I have read HUNDREDS of tuning threads since I bought my 1'er). I'm that guy that over researches everything. I plan on using the ppk2 to get things going and then later on upgrade the tune. Besides, I couldn't pass up the deal I got.

The PPK bmw p/n 11122157665 is indeed for a N54 car.

I am not sure what all would be different on a N55 other than the spark plugs and maybe the coolant pipes. ?

I would contact Tischer or United and ask them. I am sure they have run into this before. It sounds like you got a great deal on the MPPK package, so even IF you have to buy a few coolant hoses/pipes, I think you got a deal.

There are only two differences that are important.
1. The N55 kit comes with a different hose (17122181274, NLA) than the N54 (17127602294)
2. The N55 kit comes with N54 spark plugs but do not use them. They will not work. Use 12120037582. They should not have been sold in PPKV2 ending -665

The other differences are due to supersessions (the fan, some hardware, and aluminum screw sticker)
