E82/88 soft close doors retrofit

Hello. For a while now I've been wanting to retrofit soft close doors on my E88 1 series convertible. Thankfully I was able to find a thread here, where someone said that it can, and has been done. However, the thread is from years ago, and the user that posted their success story has not been active since 2021.(https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1083839) I know there are more people Interested in this, and as the previous user stated, it should be able to be done with relative ease, using parts from an F34 (3 series GT). Therefore, I'm guessing that it can be tapped into the window regulator harness or some such source and may only require power/ground and not CAN since it is just a mechanical latch? (Pure speculation). Has anyone else had luck trying this? Otherwise, I'll do more research myself and post my success and a DIY here if I get it to work!

I don't see option 323 on any of the ordering guides for USA F34s, so I haven't been able to find the part number. Unless that was only available in Europe. Still searching.

Update: The F07 offer a long cable soft close.
For LHD cars:
Front Left: 51215A36E13
Front Right: 51215A36F00
