Not bad for a "glorified-135i-parts-bin-ain't-a-real-M" car

my stock 1M, has lots several vids now on youtube, has beaten M5, M6, and M3 (all stock). nobody on youtube would believe that my car is stock but it was during that time.
now that it is tuned, i just beat a 997 Carrera GTS. but i've never won against a tuned C63. i'll try again when my mods are all together and see how that goes. some links if you want to see: the 1M really overdelivers from its claims. |

for some reason, here in the Philippines, all the M5s and M6s we tested are simply SLOW. the M3 is even faster. and we've tested like 6 or 7 units, different fuels, and they are all the same... slow.
the C63 on the other hand are always fast. the one i raced has been reflashed and with x-pipes so it's making over 500hp. |

+2000, sadly Audi believes there are no takers for Avants. Silly how they brought the B7 RS4 convertible, yet no Avant. They barely sold 200 of the verts, i am sure the Avant would have fared far better...

Also, do the M5/M6s in the Philippines come with the charcoal filters? That's how they came to the US (and not in Europe), so most owners removed them and gained the full HP potential of the car.

I'd buy an RS4 avant, and I know two friends who would consider on as well. The CTS-V wagon has sold surprisingly well, and one friend only passed due to reliability issues. Yes it's low volume, but I'd argue worth it for the halo effect alone.

I'd be all over an Avant myself, likely at least 30% of existing RS 4 sedan buyers would have (and will if offered) opted for the Avant. I would rather drive a sporty wagon than be seen in an SUV.

lol at those videos. They are all so off. The c63 will pull slightly on an M3. So how did you pull hard on an M3 then get pulled slightly by the AMG? A 911 GTS will smoke an M3. There's no way a 1M is keeping up with that car.
M6>M5>M3>1M In terms of straight line speed. |

From a 30mph rolling start, the M3 and 1M are pretty much neck and neck till about 60-70mph and then the M3 will start pulling away. For the M3 to perform optimally, it has to be in the lowest gear possible to make the best use of its power band. I suspect in a lot of videos, the M3 isn't in its lowest gear. Most would do 2nd gear rolling starts at a low speed, but the M3 needs to be in first gear right up to just over 40mph. Point being, when both cars are in their optimal gears for the road speed, the M3 will still out accelerate a 1M. Obviously, I'm talking about unmodified cars. In the end of the day both are great cars and I've driven both. In the M3, you have to work to get the best out of the engine, whereas the 1M can provide excellent acceleration in nearly any gear, which is the byproduct of its colossal torque. Regardless, straight line speed isn't everything, M cars aren't drag machines.
