Carbon Fiber Interior
Hey guys just wanted to give everyone a heads up on changing out the interior trim. I decided that the silver trim looked a bit too cheap and I wanted the Carbon Fiber trim. So today while I was getting the car tinted I changed out the trim and the door sills. I must say everything was very easy to change out with the exception of the trim piece above the gear shifter (where the ash tray is). This piece was very difficult to get out and even harder to get in. I think it too me about the same time to remove and reinstall that piece as it did to change out the rest of the trim and the door sills!
My advice: Remove the drivers and passengers underside dash (I'll post pictures in the next day or so). This would have helped a lot! Also as per someone else instructions it says to slightly lift the "frame" of the radio, I actually found it better to remove it completely. Be careful if you have heated seats because there is a ribbon cable to provides power to those buttons. Oh yes one other thing, when you remove the ash tray to change out that piece of trim you have to look underneath of the lid to find the clips to release the lid. I didn't know this and ended up breaking my cover...Hopefully this will help someone. Let me know if anyone has any questions. Oh yeah and once installed the CF trim looks great! Finally got some pictures up. Check them out here. http://picasaweb.google.com/baseball...eat=directlink I'll put more up when I wash the car next weekend.

quite a lot although Dan from United BMW hooked me up at his cost. It was some deal that he worked out. Send him at PM (Dan@UnitedBMW) to see if he has any more.
