Spotted: Space Grey 135i in Chapel Hill
Was driving down NC 54 and saw a Space Grey 135i with red interior turning left onto Farrington road. The guy driving it saw my titanium silver 135i and gave me a peace sign. Just wanted to see if you are on this board and say hi.

Wasn't me, but glad we have a spotted thread for the triangle now. There's a few 1ers at work (IBM 500 campus) and I've always been curious if they're on here.
I've got a black 135i and drive on farrington often. I'll wave if I see you. |

I'm in a Le Mans blue 135i so it wasn't me, but it's cool to see others in the Triangle area on here. I'm usually in Raleigh/Cary. In my limited experience, I always see the 128i, and rarely the 135i while out and about.

Lemans Blue??? I saw a lemans blue 135i with a BMWCCA sticker on the right back window while I was driving on 40 West on Sunday around 3ish? Was that you? I was in a dealer loaner, 335xi black. Was having the PPK1 installed in my 135i. Got it back today, its a pretty dramatic change. Anyways, maybe we should have a Triangle 1 series get together.

Cool to see some locals on the board. Who drives the grey 135i that's always on the UNC campus near the business school? It has a carbon fiber diffuser and spoiler, looks great!

You are right, Montego and Monaco Blue are *very* similar to my eye. I do notice, however, that the Montego Blue can change dramatically depending on the light. There are times at night (during sunset, especially when the red/orange light is present) when it can really change toward a deep blue almost purple. I don't know how the newer blues change in the light. |
