IPhone 5s with 2009 135i
I have an iPhone 5s on order. I've always used a y-cable along with my classic iPod. But now that I have iTunes Match syncing is easier than ever. I would love rto use my new iPhone with car. But I'm not sure if it should get a snap in adapter or use the y-cable with an adapter?
Attached image shows what BMW says about my car when I out in the Bluetooth check. I have pro nav cic and Bluetooth and USB options as I have the small pouch under the armrest. Help is greatly appreciated

I don't have the nav package so I probably can't help much here, but I plug my 5S in to the USB port under my armrest and the display of the car reads it properly, steering wheel controls work, etc. In my car the iPhone won't play audio over BT because I don't have iDrive. The only thing BT is good for in my car is phone calls and the like. The car lacks the A2DP bluetooth profile, which is what you need to play music.
If you have a usb port, just use a cable. If you have only aux and you want power too? Use this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-Car-AU...item48527b64dc
