Catless down pipe sel fix
Just purchased a vsrf down pipe and want to prevent the SEL from coming on. What are some things I can do? The seller sent me the vsrf sel light fix, but not sure how to install it or if it will work on the n55. I've also seen that you can use the o2 spacers, but not sure which is proper to use.

Here is the 90 degree version, but you may need a 45 degree depending on the clearance you have. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...c7e38bbe435283 |

Correct I am in AZ, AZ allows for 1 module to be incomplete (not ready). The stage 2+ MHD tune places the cat as unavailable. In a sense it hides it. Basically, you after you install the tune (selecting cat less DP on the tune) it then hides that information and which doesn't alert the CEL.
After 1 drive cycle the vehicle is ready for evaluation. Keep in mind that the drive cycle must include a cold start in order to evaluate the O2 sensor heater. With MHD when you check codes you can see all parameters of the emissions readiness systems. This helps so you know when you are ready for evaluation.

I took my car through DMV test this past spring and noticed there’s a camera looking at the underside of the car and the inspection tech has a monitor to look at as he drives over the cam. I’m sure they’re looking for cats but I wonder, given the location of an N55 cat, if they’d be able to see if a DP was installed. I still had my factory cat so I wasn’t worried but it makes me think twice about going catless. |

I did the oil pan gasket this weekend and was tempted to do the DP (been sitting on my shelf for 3 yr) since I had easy access. In the end, I didn't because it's just one less thing to worry about. BTW, I would never do the oil pan gasket again. I'll pay next time.
