Winddeflector bhind backseat
Hi there! We often travel 3 people in our 135i e88, And my Wife complains about the pretty windy backseat.
Is there anyone here with experience/idéas of a wind deflector mounted between the back headrest and the rollover bar? Either a purchasble products, or a DIY. Thinking about a plexi mounted with straps. Something like attached pics, but mounted at the rear passengers headrest. Happy Wife Happy Life :-) |

In your glove box should be a hat, sunglasses and scrunchie. If she asks you to put the windows up with the top down..........
Im only partially kidding. My kids are often in the back so I can relate. When they complain, I’ll ask if they brought their hat and sunglasses. It’s prob not safe to have something strapped to the headrest with someone back there. |

I recognize the first picture as a 1st generation Volvo C70 convertible. Having owned one for 7 years, I can tell you first hand that piece of plexiglass probably rendered the rear seat completely unusable for people.
Generally, if you want to use a wind-stop, you have to be willing to give up the back seat.

Agree with KevinR. I find the deflector to be very effective (trying to find a new one now without having to pay full retail), but there is no way for a person to be in backseat while it is in place.
And I suspect if one can be rigged behind back headrests, I would worry about what would happen if rear headrests were forced to pop up in a rollover. Besides, it likely would have to be removed every time the top went up. |
