1m conversion
Hey guys,
So I'm finally ready to start sourcing out my parts for my 1m conversion starting with the front end. I've got my list (thank you to @TUN3D) and was wondering, for all that have done this, who did you use to source out the parts? So far the cheapest I've found is ecs tuning at $1905 plus shipping for all the parts. Getbmwparts was willing to match. Just wondering if there is a better source out there. Thanks guys, any input is appreciated |

Those usually have the best prices.
If your comfortable with it you can go visit a local dealership and show them the amount of money your about to spend and they might give you a small discount to earn your business. And it's local so you can pick it up and save even more on shipping.

I would highly recommend just buying from your local dealer. You can talk to the wholesale manager, and they can give you wholesale pricing. ECS tuning has their shipping fee, and it's not worth it unless you need your stuff to be delivered.

I'll try the wholesale pricing at a local dealership. Crappy thing is I live in Canada, so the parts are way more expensive. It's literally about $1500 cheaper to get them out of the states and pay the conversion and duty fees.

I basically asked for the price, then said I can get it for X price via whole saler but I would like to support your business, what can you do to meet me half way. This was in Edmonton. Worth a shot, even if you have to try Vancouver and Victoria I'm sure you can talk em down somewhere! Also lucky you OP, I always have to wait for parts to ship from the Vancouver warehouse!

I would just get your car assembled in the States then. If you're in VC, you're not too far away from Seattle!
