E92 interior dash trim
Does anyone else have the problem with the trim that the starter button always breaking the clips? I've replaced them 3 times now. 1st set of clips off of amazon than a set from the dealership. It last s week at the most and it's very annoying. Any tips to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok now seriously OP, that's really not able to happen. The starter button is part of that trim, take it apart and see for yourself..very easy to do. l bet you'll see something not right with the clips, maybe the hole in the plastic dash behind that holds the clips in got a little bigger or something. But that can't be push button start related

I'd take it to a BMW specialist or shop to check out your issue. If you couldn't do it yourself then I would allow them to finally fix it. |

OP, I would suggest to buy all new clips and do it yourself before you visit dealer, its not that difficult to replace all clips. may be trim is not aligned properly? may be you should check other forum members who live near by you, someone should be able to help you.

I've replaced all the clips. Bought all new ones from the dealership. It's ok for a couple days that I'll come out to my car and it's popped out again.
I'll replace the clips it's no big deal. It's not rocket science I've done far more complicated projects on many cars. I just didn't know if anyone else had similar problems. |
