2012 guys, what tune are you running?

You mean an additional 18hp and 7lbs of tq but that is out of context. Look at the RPMs... I will assume that it is noticeably different because, the stage 3 torque curve is vastly different from the stage 2.

With stage 3, we get a Peak Horsepower of 373 @ 5300 and a Peak Torque of 408 @ 3500.

VS.

A stage 2, which has Peak Horsepower of 355 @ 5300 and Peak Torque of 401 @ 5300.

That 1800 RPM torque difference is the allows for a greater fun factor. Not to mention the additional cooling that you get from the upgraded FMIC and HC Oil cooler.

Ah, I had not see the torque curve to be honest.

The 6 hp was reference to WHP, they just updated their site I think to reflect WHP #'s...or at least its different than it was a few months ago...

The RPM curve is a big ++

still...aside from warranty precautions, its kind of silly to upgrade the oil cooler for remapping...hopefully its for longevity reasons or something

so, have you dyno'ed or 1/4 mile'd the car w the stage 3? interested to see how it stacks up...

obviously the torque #'s are good for off the line and acceleration, but the hp cant be THAT different

Nope, I have not dynoed or 1/4 miled the car and do not ever plan to. The Dinan specs I quoted for you are straight from the Dinan website. I would think they are accurate.

It is definitely not that complicated. An hour or two install time on your first time and set it on map 5 and don't worry about it for the rest of the time you own the car.

Simple and cost effective.

My 2012 has some kind of flash tune, and I also have a JB4 which I installed not knowing I had a flash tune

I wonder if the dealer could flash my computer to stock? I still have a year left on my warranty, and don't really want to raise a red flag like that though... even though obviously they would be able to tell.

With the JB4 on map 4 (stock with CAN) or map 1, I peak 15psi and then creep down to 12.

What month was your built? Mine was built in june 2011 and was looking at tune options.

you can do it in the secret menu of the car as well...also, google vin decoder and put in the last 7 digits of your vin and it will tell you too

Have you had any idle issues running the Dinan Stage 2 flash combined with your downpipes?

There is a lengthy thread on this site about people with downpipes and stalling/idle problems. I am considering a Dinan stage 2 with cat back exhaust and downpipes but that thread made me very worrisome.

I love downpipes on turbo cars but the fact that most piggy back systems and Dinan do not incoporate software to compensate for downpipes worries me. Adding downpipes to a turbo car changes the flow characteristics and air fuel ratios quite a bit which combined with a software "flash" that doesnt take this into effect can lead to lean mixture right?

On my Nissan GTR, adding downpipes made a HUGE change to air flow and this required large changes to injector flow to compensate for a safe air fuel ratio otherwise the car will run extremely lean. Downpipes= tune mandatory. I know these are two totally different cars but how do you compensate for the downpipes?

JB4's auto-tuning map handles downpipes just fine. It is not an ordinary piggy-back.
