DON'T do everything matte. You need contrast.
Do the grill surrounds, wheels, window trim, sidemarkers, and rear diffuser in gloss black. Trust me. If you do matte grey and matte black, the car won't pop. Look forward to seeing this though. |

and yes 100% removable... somewhat of a pain, but car goes back to original once un-wrapped.. If done correctly i.e removing all logos / lights / trim / weather stripping etc, the finished product is even batter

Just about every German TAXI cab is wrapped in that beige color now a days. No one wants to buy a used car in Beige bc they know it has had a hard life. Instead they buy a silver or black or dark blue car (colors that Germans like) wrap it in that Taxi Beige and wholla! Then when the time comes to sell their taxi they just peel off the foile. |

Good input! Black wheels does sound good though. As mentioned maybe not too much matte and therefore the contrast is good. They Said Tuesday it should be finished so I am hoping to get it back to the showroom for Wednesday. Then Dave, you can take some pictures and we can have a good look over the new finish.. will be an interesting discussion
Thanks all!! |

Good luck with your project! Defiantly not my cup of tea but if it makes you happy, go for it.

Im so glad I don't own a car with a matte black vinyl any more. My Ford Focus RS500 came with this 3M Scotchcal covering direct from the factory and it was a nightmare to keep looking good. To help, make sure you apply Swizzvax opaque wax to the finish otherwise greasy finger marks and water stains will be almost impossible to remove. If you can, get a reverse osmosis water filter system to give the car a final rinse after washing to stopped water spots drying on the surface. Good Luck though as the look is very good once done.
