I got the BMW performance ones. People may have other opinions and preferences though. I think I got the dead pedal and the other three for around $120 from Dan at United.

I tried a BMW version back when I had my old e46 330i. They were a little slippery when wet. This time around I thought I would try Ultimate Pedals. They are a bit more expensive but would be worth it if it reduced some of the slickness. Since they cost a little more I didn't get the foot rest...maybe later. Their website does not list a 1 series but they have templates. All you got to do is order 3 series and type in the comments section of the order screen that you want 1 series pedals made. Here is a pic.
